Trekking
Accompanied by an expert trekking guide, you can discover the wonders of the striking landscape and archeology of the Maremman Hills. The “Città del tufo” (Tufo Rock Cities), the land of the Etruscans, hides historical and natural splendors that are truly indescribable, one of a kind and immersed in a wild and luxurious territory. The Maremman Hills is a place of a million traditions, where the ruins of ancient cities built by the Etruscans, Romans and medieval warriors are still visable everywhere and can be touched by visitors. There are ancient buildings, hot springs and acquaducts and the tranquility of the towns, archelogical tracks and enchanting landscapes come together to provide you with more than 3000 years of history. Still accompanied by a guide, you can, depending on your needs, organise tours of different lengths, which can go from half-a-day to multiple days with a bivouac. All the tours have a medium/easy level of difficulty but our tour guide will always give you some simple instructions before start you walking to ensure your safety. During the walks, the guide will point our different local flora and fauna, as well as other aspects of the enormous artistic and historical heritage that is spread across the territory. For experienced hikers we can also organise more adventurous tours which are not only longer but also include night stops with everything you need to comfortably camp under the stars.
