Tenuta Cortevecchia
Cortevecchia is an ancient estate that stretches across the feet of the Amiata Mountain for 2300 hectares, paved with 20km of roads and crossed by the Fiora River. From Tenuta Cortevecchia you can take day trips to the Argentario Sea and the Saturnia Spa and Golf Club in the heart of the Etruscan territory, as well as easily reach the towns of Sorano, Pitigliano, Bolsena, Orvieto and Monte Amiata. Within the estate and divided between the Villa and the farmhouses are 170 sleeping places. The Renaissance-style Villa is like a club-house, furnished with antique furniture, Caucasian rugs and a gallery of unforgettably beautiful art work. In front of the Villa are the magnificent Italian-style gardens and a staircase that leads to the swimming pools. The farmhouses are located throughout the estate and strictly conform to the Tuscan style: stone, terracotta and wood that reflect that characteristics of the old Tuscan homesteads. Within the estate are two pools, a tennis court and soccer pitch, the Verzua Theatre and a church for religious ceremonies. Forests and pens surround the estate and are home to wild boar, dear and mouflon sheep.
