Locanda Ilune
The Locanda Illune is an ancient tufo rock farmhouse, today renovated into a comfortable and well cared for hotel that hasn’t forsaken the old countryside atmosphere. Completely immersed in the landscape, between olive groves and fruit trees, the residence allows guests to relax while soaking up the true splendour of the magical Colline di Maremma. Right at the heart of the Tufo Rock Cities, the residence is half way between Sorano and Pitigliano and ideal for those who want to enjoy horse riding, trekking and guided tours through the artistic and archaeological zones in the area. The residence is less than 3km from the Sorano Thermal Spa, where you can relax in the warm thermal spring water and spa services. Guests can have lunch and dinner at the hotel, as well try their hand at cooking courses or organise in-room massages and beauty treatments.
The rooms
Locanda Illune has three bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, carved from the tufo rock, all blessed with beautiful views and all carefully furnished. Everyone can use the large communal living room with fireplace, where they can listen to good music, connect to the internet, play chess and other board games or enjoy a home cooked meal, a hot tea with homemade biscuits or a small snack that captures the best of the local produce.
