Farmhouse Manciano

Our homestead in Manciano is located on top of a small hill, in a scenic corner of the Maremma, home to the Montarlese farm since the 18th century and still an ideal place for a relaxing vacation amongst one of the most beautiful and picturesque landscapes in Southern Tuscany. The view from our homestead encompasses Monte Amiata, Saturnia, Scansano, Magliano and all the way across to the promontory of the Argentario and the islands of Giglio and Montecristo. Our holiday homes are at the centre of our 37 hectare estate, surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and 5 acres of vineyards, which we use to produce the superb Morellino di Scansano DOCG, DOC Sovana Rosso and Bianco Pitigliano wines. As the terrain around us is still wild and unspoilt, it’s not difficult for guests to come across the odd fox, porcupine or deer while walking around the estate. Each holiday home blends seemlessly into the landscape and that same attention to detail has been paid to the furnishings and interiors, to ensure the atmosphere is strictly natural and simply elegant. Each home has: a double bedroom with bathroom, another bedroom, another bathroom, living room and completely furnished kitchen. You can also add an extra bed in every room for children. In utter respect for the environment, our water is heated from solar panels. Each home also has biomass heating and was built from natural material (wood, handmade brick and stone) and has cork thermal insulation and natural fibre furniture, which hasn’t been treated with nasty chemicals. In such a natural paradise, the outdoor activities are endless; from walking, biking or riding in the nearby reserves, to visiting ancient villages, to enjoying the warm waters at the nearby Terme di Saturnia Spa or simply relaxing amongst the olive groves on the estate, enjoying some excellent homemade wine.
